Sip wine while exploring the fashion boutiques of Argentina

Posted 11 Aug 2010

People teaching English in Argentina may like to take part in the Spring Wine Tour Urbano on September 17th.

This event encourages guests to sip glasses of wine while exploring the fashion boutiques in Buenos Aires.

It is held every third Friday in September, October and November so people have plenty of opportunity to attend.

People teaching English in Argentina will be able to look in the stores along the Armenia and Honduras streets in the city, while getting to sample some of the wine from the region.

Argentina is known for its Malbec wine. This is made from purple grapes and originated in France but it has now become so popular in the South American country that it is seen as its ‘national wine’.

In 2003, Argentina had over 50,000 acres of plantations devoted to growing the grapes that make Malbec – a rich and juicy red wine.

Other varieties of wine that can be sampled on the tour include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a variety of white and sparkling wines.

This event is also held in the autumn and according to whatsonwhen it is always a big success.
