One international lifestyle coach has highlighted a list of iPod applications that could be particularly useful to those teaching English abroad.
According to Sarah Novak, a certified professional coach and founder of Envision Life Coaching, iMetro is a great resource that offers metro maps of 28 cities globally, she writes on Expatica.com.
Another useful application that is free of charge is Sit or Squat, which informs foreigners where public toilets are located in various countries around the world, Ms Novak adds.
It contains information on 65,000 facilities and also has user reviews.
For pre-travel jitters, Packing Pro, which costs $3.99 (£2.37), provides a checklist to eliminate last-minute forgetfulness, while Gate maps, which costs 99 cents, provides airport terminal maps for 30 different hubs.
Other applications recommended include Spend, which helps those teaching English abroad to keep track of their pennies, and WifiTrak a resource providing information on the nearest free Wi-Fi signals.
This advice follows that issued by iPhoneFootprint.com earlier this week, which highlighted WordGlide as a convenient way to build upon an individuals’ vocabulary.
