The British Council and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam are set to unveil a new website that may provide a boost for people teaching English in Vietnam.
Those who are out of ideas for lesson plans or who want some encouragement from like-minded sources may like to log on to teachingenglish.edu.vn from February 5th onwards, reported VOVNews.vn.
Launches as part of the government’s initiatives to boost English language understanding in the country, the website offers instructors guidance on classroom activities, development and the managing of large classes.
According to Simon Beardow, deputy director of the British Council, the online resource is a prime example of how the organisation is committed to assisting individuals teaching English in Vietnam.
It is also part of a wider scheme, entitled Access English, which is currently running in locations such as Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, the publication highlighted.
Earlier this month, Nguyen Ngoc Hung, former deputy director of Vietnam’s international cooperation department, called for an increase in the number of English teachers in the country, VietnamNet Bridge reported.
