People teaching English in Japan this summer may know people attending the Fuji Rock Festival, which takes place on July 30th and August 1st.
This year, Muse are headlining the annual festival which occurs among the pine forest surrounding the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata.
International and Japanese artists perform at the event and other acts appearing this year include Them Crooked Vultures, MIA and Vampire Weekend.
The main acts perform until about midnight but DJs will keep the party going until dawn in the Red Marquee.
People teaching English in Japan may be lucky enough to attend this year but if they are not, they could plan to go next year instead.
The whatsonwebsite states: “The more secluded areas of the festival are well worth checking out, you might come across an impromptu gig by a great Japanese band tucked away in the forest.”
Visitors can buy traditional Japanese cuisine in the food village such as noodles, soup, curry, sake and cocktails.
Muse are a band from Devon known for their alternative sound and outstanding live performances. They have released five albums including Origin of Symmetry and the Resistance.
