People aiming to find TEFL jobs abroad should consider looking at posts in South Korea, after one publication revealed that the government there is taking on foreigners to teach children in the country.
The New Zealand Herald revealed that the state is trying to recruit foreign graduates to teach English in South Korea in order to stop the rush of people sending their children abroad to ensure that they have a grasp of the language when they grow up.
It explained that the nation’s government is offering to pay for flights and housing, as well as pay a monthly allowance.
Yoo Hee Shim, a South Korean who now lives in New Zealand with her daughter, told the publication that learning English is vital if children want to get ahead in their careers.
She was quoted as saying: "Acquiring good English skills is important for my daughter to have good opportunities in the future."
