People moving abroad to teach English in China may find one of the new language guides by Lonely Planet useful.
In partnership with SDX Joint Publishing Company, one of China's most respected publishers, the travel guide specialist has launched a new range.
These new guidebooks provide Chinese language tips and translations for the country's provinces including Yunnan.
In total, seven are expected to be published within the next few months and these guides could help those teaching English in more remote areas of China as they may find it easier to communicate with the locals.
Matt Goldberg, chief executive of Lonely Planet, who was in Beijing for the launch, said: "We helped SDX recruit and train authors in the Lonely Planet style and this was a mutually rewarding experience.
"In return, SDX gave us deeper insight into China and many new content ideas for our English language products on China."
Lonely Planet has also recently launched an app for the iPad, which provides visitors to specific locations advice and tips on what to do.
