Those on TEFL courses who have an iPhone could make use of an application that is designed to boost English language knowledge, it has been stated.
According to iPhoneFootprint.com, WordGlide is a convenient way to build upon an individuals’ vocabulary.
The site states: "Though the developer created WordGlide as a guide for users whose first language is not English, it does not restrict itself to that function."
It adds that the ease of use, graphics and the application’s ability to define unfamiliar words makes it appealing to native English speakers.
The resource, which boasts over 150,000 words, may also save those teaching English abroad the trouble of taking a hefty dictionary with them.
In related technology news, the software firm NEC told Reuters last week that it had devised a pair of glasses with an inbuilt translator.
They will retail at the not-so-purse-friendly price of US$83,000 (£49,700).
