An increasing number of skilled or qualified contractors from overseas are finding work in the UK, it has been claimed.
This is because there is currently a "lack of permanent headcount" in this country, explained associate director at FSS Lucy Davison.
Workers from countries such as New Zealand, South Africa and Australia are now living in the UK on working visas, she continued.
This makes them "the ideal temporary resource for employers," Ms Davison concluded.
According to a report by FSS, two-thirds of employers will keep their permanent hiring of professionals at the same level this year, while 15 per cent say they will aim to increase the number of staff.
The research also showed over two-thirds stated that improving workers’ productivity and the retention of key members of its team would be their biggest challenge.
During the current economic climate, many people from other countries may wish to go abroad to find employment. Brits, for example, may wish to go to Asia or South America to teach English for a period of time.
