Discover The Karate Kid while working in a TEFL job

Posted 08 Mar 2010

Anyone in a TEFL job in China could think about checking out the location where the upcoming movie The Karate Kid was filmed.

The original Karate Kid films took the world by storm back in the 1980s and – while remakes do not always get the same respect as originals – this new flick looks set to be an intriguing view, with Will Smith’s son Jaden and martial arts legend Jackie Chan both onboard.

Set for release in the UK in July, travellers teaching English in China should head for Beijing if they want to spot the on-screen locations.

New research by travelsupermarket.com has found that plenty of people are ‘screenspired’ to go to a country after seeing a film and such considerations may play a part when people decide where they want to take up a TEFL job.

Beijing has been the subject of many great films in the past, such as The Last Emperor, Farewell My Concubine and Together.ADNFCR-2167-ID-19656986-ADNFCR
