’Discover Koh Phra Thong ’while teaching English in Thailand

Posted 09 Mar 2010

Anyone travelling to Thailand to take up a TEFL job will no doubt be on the look-out for areas that they can go during their down-time and one travel company has recommended the island of Koh Phra Thong.

People teaching English in the Thai city of Kuraburi may already be aware of this little island paradise, which can be found of the country’s west coast, in the Andaman Sea.

According to i-Escape, Koh Phra Thong is the antidote to all the busy, tourist-heavy destinations, with no cars around and only one sandy track linking up the different areas.

The company explained: "This island is perfect for those in search of an unspoiled natural environment, peace and seclusion."

This destination is not just for people to relax and try out yoga moves either, since travellers can try snorkelling and canoeing, as well as hitting the beach for a swim.

For optimum temperatures, visitors are advised to go between November and April by the island’s official website.ADNFCR-2167-ID-19659618-ADNFCR
