Travellers teaching English in the Caribbean may want to take a break to visit Dominica's World Creole Music Festival later this year.
From October 29th to 31st, the island will be hosting the 14th annual festival over three nights of what organisers are promising will be a "pulsating show".
The event provides a platform for the celebration of French speaking Creole music and culture and could provide those teaching English with an opportunity for rich cultural exchange.
The event is staged in Roseau, the capital of Dominica and will be headlined by Ali Campbell, former singer in the insanely successful reggae band UB40.
Luciano and Krosfyah will also be performing at the World Creole Music Festival, as will Les Aiglons, a Guadeloupian band famed for its musical cadences in the 1970s.
Tickets cost EC$120 (£28) for a single night or EC$300 (£71) for the entire three-day event.
Dominica is known as the Nature Isle of the Caribbean thanks to its unspoiled natural beauty.
