Teachers in Cheshire are being called upon to volunteer their time to teach English in Tanzania, where their help is needed in various schools.
Speaking to Chester First, managing director of GapGuru Arvind Malhotra explained that some of the poorest parts of the country are desperately in need of people to help in a variety of subject areas, but English language is particularly in demand.
He was quoted as saying: "The children are keen to learn new skills and in many cases our volunteers will learn from them too, so this is an exciting and perhaps even life changing opportunity."
Mr Malhotra told the website that people who decide to go to the African nation have the chance to make a real difference while exploring the world.
Honor Baldry, a spokesperson for teach abroad specialists i-to-i, recently told people that taking TEFL jobs overseas will mean people have the chance to discover new and exotic foods.
