Brits living abroad, including those teaching English, tend to be in favour of sunbathing on beaches or by pools topless.
That is according to a recent survey by SkyScanner, which found that 93 per cent of Britons were fine with sunbathing topless abroad, followed by 91 per cent of French and Italian respondents and 82 per cent of Swedes.
Germans were shown to be the nation most in favour of sunbathing topless as 99 per cent were in favour of stripping off in the sun, reports the Telegraph.
Benjamin Perez Ulecia, Skyscanner’s country manager for Spain, told the news provider that people living abroad should respect that region’s customs and laws.
People teaching English in Spain should be aware that earlier this month a resort on the Costa Dauruda banned tourists from wearing bikinis or being shirtless anywhere but the beaches and pools.
The survey polled 3,000 people and found that 96 per cent of men had no problems with women bathing topless compared to only 87 per cent of females.
People can protect themselves from sun damage by staying out of the heat between 11am and 3pm and applying sun cream.
