Brazil is "really coming into its own
as a holiday destination", it has been claimed.
The Latin American country is popular with visitors from America, who can fly there short-haul, and for Brits it is only a six-hour flight to the north-east of the country, explained BuyAssociation.
It can also be a hotspot for those on a gap year who want to volunteer or teach English as a foreign language.
As well as becoming a popular tourist destination, the economy in Brazil is generally doing well, despite the global financial situation, stated Paul Collins, the property editor for the website.
"The Brazilian government has done really well in stockpiling currency and making sure it doesn’t overstretch itself," he said.
Mr Collins added that the country is in a good position compared to other locations and is set to do well this year.
According to BuyAssocitaion, Brazil is attracting investors looking for holiday homes because of it "diverse landscape, rich culture, idyllic climate and affordability."
