Brazil ‘has more than beaches’ to attract expats

Posted 26 Oct 2009

Those who choose a career teaching in Brazil could find that the country has a lot more to offer than beaches, as an expert has highlighted a range of things to see.

Laercio Souza, coordinator of inward investment at Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism, explained that anyone visiting or living there can enjoy spectacular environments.

Away from the famous coastlines, he noted that deserts both with and without water are just some of the features.

"We have high mountains, long stretches with underground rivers and caves," Mr Souza added. "We have the biggest complex of caves in the worlds [and] we have 275 waterfalls in just one place."

It comes after Gareth Rubin wrote for thisismoney.co.uk that the South American destination could be an ideal place for those planning to move abroad.

He explained that the decision to award Rio de Janeiro the Olympic Games in 2016 is likely to have a knock-on effect, with the city see to see significant improvements.ADNFCR-2167-ID-19427468-ADNFCR
