The 16th Asian Games announced its full competition schedule on August 17th.

A total of 42 sports will be taking place at the games, which take place in Guangzhou from November 17th until 27th.

Some of the sports include swimming, in which 38 gold medals are up for grabs, Dragon boat, fencing, athletics and Taekwondo to name just a few.

People teaching English in this region during this time may like to get tickets and attend the event as it is the second largest sports event in the world after the Summer Olympic Games.

The organisers believe that more than three million spectators will attend and 67 of the 70 venues are currently being tested.

Furthermore, over 14,000 athletes are expected to participate and 45 nations will be sending representatives.

Therefore, people teaching English in Asia may like to attend the games in order to cheer on their own nation.

The inaugural Youth Olympic Games are currently taking place in Singapore.
