A strike by British Airways' (BA) cabin crew could occur this Christmas as trade union Unite and the airline are yet to reach a compromise.
Furthermore, those people moving aboard in order to teach English could be faced with travel chaos if the strikes do occur.
Disputes between the two parties were renewed on August 31st when the airline revealed that it had either suspended or sacked 80 of its staff.
Unite believes that the majority of those facing disciplinary action are being suspended due to their involvement in the 19-month dispute with BA.
Tony Woodley, joint general secretary of the union, has allegedly sent an email to its members suggesting that another ballot could be on the cards, reports the Guardian.
Furthermore, if a ballot is held as early as next week, there could be a strike by Christmas if Unite members vote for this path of action.
Last week, it was reported that pilots at Virgin Atlantic could strike later this year over a dispute about the amount of time off they are allotted.
