According to the Argentine tourist board – Instituto Nacional de Promocion Turistica, the city is no longer just a backpacker or once in a lifetime destination.
Leonardo Boto, executive director of the tourism body, believes the numbers of British tourists to the region have increased in the past seven or eight years.
He said: “They visit Argentina looking for stunning landscapes, culture, unique wildlife, and luxury infrastructure and service.
”Argentina is not anymore a ‘backpacker’ or ‘once in a lifetime’ destination, quite the contrary, the country satisfies the needs and interests of high demanding and knowledgeable travellers."
Furthermore people teaching English in South America may like to book tickets for the semi-finals and finals of the Palermo Polo Open, which takes place from November 20th to December 11th.
