People moving overseas in order to teach English abroad may like to download the new Travelplan app for the iPhone.
This app lists 99 per cent of all searchable flights across the world and 15,000 hotels in numerous destinations.
It can be used offline, which means that no downloads are required which should prevent expensive roaming charges.
This app will enable those planning a trip, possibly those who will be teaching English abroad, to organise their travels at home, on the plane and even abroad.
Travelplan also has a travel planner which can be shared with family and friends via email, which means they will always know where you are.
Kevan Christmas, digital and mobile consultant at Collinson Latitude, the app designers, said: "It's a unique tool because it allows busy executives and other travellers to access vital travel information when on the move."
This could be particularly useful if the British Airways strikes occur over the festive period as Unite has decided to ballot its members over the dismissal of staff at the airline.
If people find that their flight has been cancelled they may be able to find an alternative one using the app.
