Quarter life crisis.....if i live to 112 that is

Ages since i've been in here! Too long! I started my Postgrad diploma in Primary Education and after a truly awful placement my whole teaching life has been thrown slightly off balance. Just kind of fed up of the Scottish education system to be honest - what kind of difference can I really make when i'm spread among 28 kids?? Not to mention the hours.....spending my spare time prepping for lessons is no problem at all (dare i say it can be quite fun) but spending longer prepping than actually teaching?! Daft! Definitely feel like I need a change of scenery. I think I was maybe a bit too chicken to really do this, but i'm not getting any younger (unless someone has actually fashioned a flux capacitor, in which case let me know!!) I have nothing tying me to Glasgow (aside from a love of Kelvingrove Park and Saturday nights in The Shed). So the question that remains.......to South Korea or not South Korea?

South Korea! I was in a very similar position to you about two years ago. I'd just quit my PGCE after basically coming to the same conclusions about the English education system. I now work in an English kindergarten in Daejeon, South Korea and I love it. This and my previous job (teaching adults) are the two best jobs I've ever had! It's suprisingly easy to get out here and there is a large network of other foreigners here. Any questions, please ask. I'd be happy to answer them :)
