About Me

I'd like to teach English in France, Northern Spain, Eastern Europe or Italy. 
I like to watch rare migrant birds turn up in my garden. I like the sea and great expanses of wilderness. I think video games are an important medium. I drink milkshake when I can. I have neat - perhaps compulsively neat - handwriting. I like harmony and disharmony in equal measures. I like the films of Andrei Tarkovsky, the theory of Roland Barthes and the music of Neil Young and Talking Heads.  
I'm working on my first collection of poems. I like reading books by Charles Simic, Frank O'Hara and John Berryman. The Great Russians. Saul Bellow. 'The Idiot' is probably my favourite novel.
