Thanks for that. They could come in very useful. Is it true that you should only pass things to others with your right hand as well? I'd be really annoyed if I was hanging off the edge of a cliff and someone wouldn't take my left hand to save me. Haha!
Your blogs (or should that be bl*gs?) have made for interesting reading. So did you bother to take a laptop out there with you or do you just have computer access via other means?
Alright Matt, cheers for your message, that's absolutely grand of you. I've not got many questions for you really as i-to-i have been really helpful with what I've wanted to know so far. Although, if you have any advice with regards to teaching or the TEFL course then that'd be great. I was also thinking it maybe useful to know of any Thai customs that I should be aware of before I go out there. I wouldn't want to offend anyone and end up with something dodgy in my green curry.
Thanks again

hey matt,
I was just wondering , is it really difficult when teachilng children english when you cant understand their language at all?
plus do you feel like you are running out of new and exciting activities in class?
do you make friends quickly out there with the other interns or do you not see them very often? and do you manage to do things at weekends with people?
im just worried that when im not at school teaching im going to feel lonely? haha
if you have any advice about what to bring and what not not to bring that would be great to
thanks x
Hi matt, honor gave me your info, i hope you dont mind. Was just wondering how your finidng the thailand internship? I'm thinking of doing the next one in oct/nov. How is it? did you have to start taking your own lessons straight away? where are you based? hows the accomodation? are you placed with other interns?
So many questions, would be great if youve got a minute oir two to answer them! Any tips would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks
Leanne
Congratulations!
Glad to have been of use! :)
No problem Matt - I've passed it onto our jobs team to chase up - I'm sure the jabs won't have been in vain (I hope anyway!)
Hey Matt,
Depends when you sent it off. Once you've sent AYC your application documents (cover letter, CV, photo, passport scan, degree scan etc), you should hear back via email within a couple of days if you've been accepted or not - if it's been longer than a few days let me know and I'll ask Rachel in our jobs team to chase AYC up for you.
Any more questions just shout!
