Studying to be a TEFL teacher

Yahooooo! It took some time but tonight I finally finished my TEFL course, that is... the core module. There ae still a couple of specialist modules to go but at least I can call myself a TEFL teacher now!

The course itself, online only, was tough at times. Not because it was particular difficult but because I haven't been a student in many years. I had no idea anymore the dedication it takes to study, to concentrate and to try and learn something new in theory.

I can only hope it helps me when I'm teaching. If it be children or adults, learning is not always easy. It takes something for a person to sit down and actually put the time and effort into it, to actual learn something and use that what they've learned into their daily lifes. I hope, it makes me a better teacher, with understanding for the students who are willing to listen to me!
