About Me

I would love to teach in Europe, but I know it can be a challenge to find a position.   What do I love about life?  It's an adventure!!!!  I decided to do a TEFL course because I discovered I could teach and travel at the same time and visit many different cultures.  I love all cultures really and love experiencing them.  I hve been learning Italian, so I love all things Italian.  A side note - I love archaeology too!  My favorite tense?  The Future!  Because the best is yet to be!

Hi,  MarAnnie:
We are now going to start our recruiting for  our TESL teachers for next semester, the spring semester of 2012 which is from
eary the 1st week of Febrary to June, are you still interested in joining us? What can we do for you? Looking forward to your reply and have a good day and B/rgds, helen

Hi Marcia and thank you for your advise..and it is also nice to have friends who are strivine liek me at a mature age to still have that spark in them.. I have never been to the USA, love to one day, one of my dreams,

Okay you come to the UK I will give you free woodworking and Scroll saw courses I run my own Craft business also, and still do some teaching have a look, I make and design all my own products..but want a change in career now. Google my site  WWW.CRAFTSBYRAY.CO.UK  Hu check this out my surname, and it is real is (London) what a name for an English teacher dont you think? lol.

Hi I am 55 and I think the older you are the more respect you will get as a teacher because most countries value age and look at it as wisdom and respect, I am about 70% through my TEFL course and stuck on a module HELP please ! Regards to all from Ray in Noprwich City UK

Hi!  Molto Bene, Grazie!  Thank You for the compliments!  I am still trying to finish the TEFL course, working full time and all, it's been a challenge.  If I decided to teach overseas, I wiill also have to make arrangements to rent out my house and put my possessions in storage, so there's lots of preplanning to do for me.  I have not yet had a chance to teach in Europe.  The more I read, it may be quite difficult for an American to find a position in Europe, though I would love to try it.  I would consider other countries as well.  It's great to join a group of older folks wanting to teach.

Hi Annie, .."comme sta"?  glad to have you join the MAT group.  Firstly, if I may say..your pic shows a very sprightly and happy person!  I have found that trait to help tremendously when teaching to any group regardless of age..etc  although good stamina helps too!  How is your TEFL course going? Have you had a chance to experience teaching in Europe?  I would expect the students there to be a little more exuberant !? especialy compared to the Asian countries, where it can be difficult to get them to say "boo!"   A while ago I enquired about teaching English in Greece and found that one needed a Masters Deg. and CERT. I'm sure others in the group can share more experiences, as mine were brief &  limited overseas but also keen to do more in future.  regards Terry
