Studying grammar!!

The studying is going well but the grammar is a challenge!! One knows how to apply it correctly in every day speech, but the definitions and structures are buried somewhere in the brain's archives; I would have to first do a degree in archaeology to find out how to retrieve the stuff! 

You can laugh if you want, but I tried remembering why the zero conditional is different from the 3rd conditional and the cleverest answer I could come up with is:  “Say what?!?"     

But in spite of the necessary & essential grammar, it is a very interesting and well structured course.  I find it comforting to know that my grey cells are still in good working order and no sign of the German chap 'Al' (goes by the surname of Zeimers).

So its back to the computer and the books for me...
