Guys has anyone taken the edi certificate level 5! Is it worth doing it and when applying to jobs that want celta will they give it a blind eye...as I'm worried it's not that recognised! Any help would be great!
Chalkboard is i-to-i's TEFL community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!

Hello!
Thanks for your post :) You might want to read Feroza's blog about her EDI course experience, she took the course a few months ago:
http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/feroza2011/posts/8725-i-completed-the-edi-certtefl
We also filmed six course participants to hear about their plans once they had the EDI qualification so you might want to give that a click too:

In terms of jobs overseas, the qualification you get is the same level as a CELTA (level 5) and your certificate you receive will state the level on it too. The EDI certTEFL isn't a brand new qualification, EDI have been around for years, and the name CertTEFL is widely known overseas, so overall the possibilities with it are endless! You can always look at different job sites now before you make your decision and contact the employers directly to ask them also for peace of mind?
Have a read and watch of those links and feel free to email me if you have any questions at all, happy to help!
Katie :)
