60 Hour Course - Slayed

The 60 hours course is done and dusted with 39 days left on the schedule. I was a bit unsure of Checkpoint Four but managed to pass without any issues. My only question is ‘What’s next?’ and the hope that I have enough time to get through the modules without having the pay to extend the course. Working interstate for the last few weeks as well as being employed full time has really put me behind schedule in relation to study.

I found the Finding Employment module interesting and only wish I could spend longer on my break abroad. Unfortunately, due to other work commitments, 06 months is all I have.

Can anyone recommend any textbooks that can be utilised in the classroom? Either as reference material or to teach from?

Well done! I'm halfway through mine now. I shall watch out for checkpoint 4! :) Onto grammar now, are you? Best of luck!

Hey,

Congrats on finishing the 60 Hour Course. As Kyle says the Essential TEFL book is a great resource. You can find it here - http://www.onlinetefl.com/essential-tefl-book/?source=chalkboard

You also may want to check out this free activities book which has got 20 tried and tested lessons plans that may help you out when you're starting out as a TEFL teacher - http://www.onlinetefl.com/activities-book.html?source=chalkboard

Hope this helps you,

Laura

Hi Maladicta, congratulations on the course,

Perhaps you should now look at a couple of specialist subjects?

Regarding the book, I would recommend "Essential TEFL" its got everything you're looking for and literally spells it out on how to do it.(I think you can buy it on this website?)

All the best,

Kyle
