Hey all,
My name's Michael and i've always been fascinated about Japan. It's culture, language, the awesome food, the technology, the lifestyle, the friendly people, anime and pretty much everything else.
I stumbled upon the i-to-i website one day and found it extremely helpful and thought, 'Why not teach English in Japan, I can make new friends, learn a new culture and experience life! I can always come back, theres nothing to lose and everything to gain!'
That was when I signed up for the TEFL course. I've found it to be very useful so far as it not only reintroduce the basic foundations of the English language (some of which i've forgotten) but also how to teach English in a foreign country.
I'm planning to teach in Japan towards the end of next year (2011). Before then, I will be learning some conversational japanese.
I would like to start off somewhere rural, preferably teaching young children as i have no past experience teaching and move on from there.
I hope this will be the start of an exciting and rewarding experience!
