I'm 23....bored of America and resenting the mold of working behind a desk and not being able to interact with interesting people! I'm down for anything, to go anywhere, and to meet anybody. I have always been attracted to the Latino culuture and it to me- so my preference is to work somewhere in South America. I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and went to school in Wilmington, NC; right by the beach. My age and place of college (UNCW) add up to one thing= JORDAN! (That's where Michael Jordan grew up, and he wore #23). =) ------But I like anybody who is nice and has a sense of humor. I'm really inexperienced with teaching so I'm at the mercy of you all to give me tips.

Is it possible to come to teach in Ecuador without knowing Spanish, having teaching experience and a TEFL certificate?
No....it is not. I would advise you to register for a TEFL course. If you are serious about learning Spanish, you can go to (www.spanishdict.com). If you master all four levels, you could be considered as an Intermediate Spanish speaker.
Hey
Welcome to Chalkboard - that's great you're thinking of heading to Ecuador - I reckon you already know more Spanish than loads of people who head there, so I wouldn't worry! To get you started you might want to chat to Alix, who's out there teaching at the minute - she should be able to give you a few tips on how to find the best jobs and handle students out there:
