So after months of skulking around Chalkboard and watching the i-to-i website like a hawk, I have finally been able to take the first step towards acheiving my dream of teaching English as a foreign language. Today I signed up for the Teach in China internship in February 2013 and have made a start on my online course, passing the first module already (ok, it was just an introductory type module but still, it's an acheivement!).
The online course looks extremely interesting and while I'm sure it will be difficult, I am going to give it 110% commitment. Hey, if thousands of people have passed it, I can too right?
I am already so excited and I can't wait to get stuck in! Here's to making your dreams come true!
That's all for now!
Louise

Indeed I am! I've been interested in TEFL for quite some time now and I feel the intership would give me the kick start that I need. The application wasn't too bad although I must admit that it's definitely not something to rush as there's a decent amount to scan and whatnot. The hardest part for me personally was writing the essay-it's hard to put yourself into a few hundred words!
I submitted my application three weeks ago so I'm really hoping that TTC contact me soon. If they don't I might give them a buzz next week just for peace of mind.
Well that was a bit of a ramble! Best of luck :)
Hey Louise - so you're making the step too? I'm so excited about the internship, just all the application is a tiny little bit daunting!
Hi Laura! I've had a look at that group and it has some great information, thank you!
Hey Louise,
Congrats on signing up for the Teach in China Internship in Feb, exciting times ahead! Not sure if you've seen the China Internship group on here, if not you might want to take a look here - http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/groups/3-Teach-in-China-Internship
The group has loads of blogs from past, present and future China interns.
Good luck with the online course :-)
