About Me
Hello/Ni Hao/Hola/Konnichiwa/Ahlan wa Sahlan everyone! My name is Lorelei, and I am from the United States, more specifically Wisconsin. I'm 26, having completed an army contract for five years which took me to Iraq twice and was put into immersion classes for Modern Standard Arabic. I'm really interested in doing TEFL, because I see it as an excellent way to view the world while not always being on vacation. It also gives me the option to change things constantly since I have recently discovered I get bored sitting still in one place. I am working towards a bachelor's degree to expand my teaching options. I'd love to go anywhere, really, but the ultimate destination for me is...Japan! I love the culture, I love the food, and I love the anime. I'm really interested in foreign languages and cultures-it amazes me how different they are from the States. Joining a community like this one looks to be a gateway into experiencing the world, and best of all not just for a week, but for a few months at the least. Yeah i've been busy with my friend from England being here. She's stayed a lot longer than I thought she would, so i've been trying to find things to do.

Haha, um, I haven't booked my flights because well, I'm putting the finishing touches to my course! :/
Needless to say, it's going to be a frantic few days...although the plan is to get in around the 1st of the month, depends on family in Dubai. It's crazy, potentially I could be on the other side of the whole in a matter of weeks and I still have a ton of stuff at work to finish up before I leave!

I hope you had a good Christmas :) I'm actually sticking around in China for a bit - going to be working for a travel company in Beijing, so maybe I'll come say hello to you new interns when you arrive!
