Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHi - I'm now starting my 2nd year teaching at Taizhou University in China. I feel so lucky to have found this University for my first job, and so now I'm onto a 2nd year. I'm glad to correspond with anyone who wants to know anything about China ... at least I can only offer my own experience - Jeffrey
Yes english names in China are what they wish to have used and it is also very respectful to them as well. they do not only use these names at school but after school and many times at home as well. As we all know respect is the best way to start in any new school for we also want the respect that we show them. Though this will vary from country to county in China it is to our benifit for their names can be very difficult to learn. If you are going to China to teach I wish you the best of luck and do enjoy what is there for the history is of the longest that there is and it is a very remarkable place to go to.
