SCAMMERS !!!!

Hi everyone,

Just a short note to advise that a" fellow member" is trying to contact us and has quite successfully with a big sob story re her being held captive in Senegal etc etc and requesting privately our bank details to transfer money, bond, deeds etc and then send her money to be freed. We can take a "handling" fee of 30% of 2.5 million dollars ????? now I realise this is a scam but felt it best to warn everyone, I knoe of people who have got caught up in something like this and well its just criminal. I have reported this to i to i and await their reply. So just keep an eye out.

They'd be welcome to my bank account: zero £'s & a maxed-out overdraft, oh yeah, & a massive student-loan debt still unpaid after 10 years. Any takers?

Hi there Tina,
Thank you for contacting our helpdesk about this issue and I hope you received our email. This particular spammer was banned as soon as they joined meaning they are completely unable to use the site, message users and post content of any kind but unfortunately messages can hang around in cyber space and cause problems.

I’d strongly advise Chalkboard members to dispose of such emails immediately and under no circumstances give personal details to users.

Thanks for the friends request. I'm happy to add you. Hope you're enjoying your TEFL course. I've just finished mine, and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend TEFL course this weekend. I'm now looking forward to applying for jobs.

you know, it might seem obvious that this is a scam but you're right to post this warning as I've been amazed in the past at the kind of otherwise intelligent people who've fallen for this kind of thing! I can't believe it's even happened here... can anyone join chalkboard without any affiliation to any course at all?
