We Some Hustla Hustlaz

Seriously, the opportunities in Xuzhou make me wish I could clone myself.

I've picked up a part time teaching job on top of my full time job.  I teach about 7 hours per day, usually over 35 hours a week, and my total work time with office hours ends up being close to 60 a week.

I've been offered no less than 4 other jobs or locations to teach, plus almost daily offers for private tutoring.

Beijing and Shanghai may seem like the place to be, and indeed there are some aspects of both that are unique in the world.  But they are overflowing with English Teachers.  In 2nd tier cities like Xuzhou, truly good teachers in China for the long haul are few and far between, and worth our weight in gold.

Just something to consider.

Also, since I haven't managed to use up all my free time yet, I will be starting a teacher placement service in and around Xuzhou this semster.  Keep an eye on my Chalkboard journal if you're interested, or just email me directly at phill@thelogictheorist.com.  My business partner is Xuzhounese and was schoolmates with a large portion of the headmasters here.

Thanks. Will do when I finish this contract!! :)

There are ways around having a degree.  We (my business partner and I) would have to make the decision based on the experience level of the teacher and what the school wanted.  It's definitely possible we can find a position for someone without one though, please do get in touch if you're looking for a position.

Sounds good. I'm teaching in Hebei at the moment.

I don't have a university degree. Though am legally employed here with foreign expert cert and residence permit etc. My contract lasts one year. Let me know if you can take people without degrees any time?

Cheers.

Thank you so much Phill....I will email you so you will have mine too

Cheers
