I'm a recent graduate (May 2011). I received my B.A. with a double major in English and Communications. I would like to teach anywhere really (as long as it is safe for foreigners, especially US citizens) but I do have my preferences of where I would ideally like to teach. I decided to take a TEFL course to help improve my English grammar skills and help me see what a TEFL teacher needs to know. If I enjoy teaching after a year or two I would like to go get my Masters in TESOL/Education or maybe even a specified English Lit.

Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHello Leighhannsun . I hope you are well I am Ray, I past my i-to-i 140 TEFL course some time ago, I also have two BA-degrees one in History and the other in Geography, I have come to a crossroads in life to teach in China or Vietnam or Thailand, but my real intensions are yo set up my own teaching school in Vietnam or Thailand, My surname is London yes it really is lol.... so I would use a play on words and call my teaching school, (The London school of English) I think that speaks volumes, I have thought hard about this and have friends who are vietnamise and they live in the UK but are leaving to go back to Vietnam as they have had enough of running a business in the UK, it is always best to keep in with people who live in said countries plus they are my long term friends also and trusted!! I have lived in Hong Kong and on a part time bases was teaching English there, super fun.
So if anybody has the ambition and thinks rather than trying to get teaching jobs and being under onther people, maybe just maybe you would like to talk to me and join up with me as a fellow teacher!!... I am honest and open, I am not money orientated just want to be happy out of the uk and teach and be warm "simple" there is a massive demand for "good" small schools in Vietnam etc, if run correctly and run as a business also. I hope to be going there to look about around February as a path finder one could say, I live In Norwich Norfolk UK
Kind Regards from Ray
