Hi bud,
Yeah, its a Tacoma. One of the later ones with the Fishman electronics. Those are Labella flatwounds on it which sound great even though they are supposed to work going over the bridge like that. Guess I lucked out putting them on. I'd love to teach in Costa Rica, but it hasn't come up as a possibility for me yet. One thing I'll have to deal with is leaving all my guitars and basses behind when I do go overseas.
gearge - i am new as well - but an aussie friend of mine is working in hong kong doing tefl - he loves it - wants me to join him :)
thanks for the advice laura mc! indonesia might b a fit too. im stoked to look into all of this!
Hey,
Welcome to Chalkboard. Great to see you’re interested in teaching abroad. What has attracted you to teaching in Latin America? There is a healthy demand for TEFL teachers in Costa Rica and Brazil, both with great places to surf – an added bonus!
To get started on the site take a look at the groups to get more of an idea about teaching abroad and what life is like in the different countries from people who are out there teaching now.

Also, have you considered Indonesia at all? You’ll find it much easier to get a decent TEFL job there than in Brazil/Costa Rica and the surf is still great. For more information, check out the jobs there through our job placement service: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-jobs-abroad/tefl-indonesia.html
Hope you enjoy the site and if you have any questions feel free to ask :-)
