Hi guys!
So i am in the process of doing my TEFL course at the moment with the intention of going to Thailand and then to the middle east.
I am totally in love with Egypt and would be a dream come true to work and live there but i understand it is difficult to get teaching jobs outside of cairo?
Does anyone know anything about working out there?

Hi Leanne,
It’s great to hear you’ve already made so many plans! :)
I also love Egypt! I haven’t come across someone who is teaching in Egypt.
I know there is a pretty high demand for teachers in Egypt, in international schools and private schools, but it can be quite difficult for a woman. It’s an Islamite country and they can still be very traditional. I think your best chances are in Cairo since it is more common for females to be working in education there.
You can enter on a tourist visa and arrange a job over there and change it to a work visa, but make sure you do this! You can also arrange it before moving to Egypt, you’ll need a letter of invitation from the company.
Let me know if there is anything I can help with and keep me updated on your plans! :)
