I saw some of your posts and was hoping you could help me out with some information! I'm looking to go teach in the Czech Republic in Nov/Dec and could really use your advice on a few matters. I sent you a private message with some more info. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Leanne!
I'm very interested in coming to Prague as soon as I complete a TEFL course, hopefully in September!! Did you take the TEFL course online? If so, which one did you use? I have seen so many different options and prices for courses. It seems like taking the course in the country you want to teach definitely has the best perks, but is a bit out of my price range- ha. Any advice would be extremely helpful! Thanks!
Kristin
Hey Leanne!
I have a Skype interview lined up with JamesCookeLanguages tomorrow and am wondering how you are finding working in Prague? Is the cost of living reasonable? Are you able to save money for further travel?
I'd really appreciate any advice you could offer,
Jennifer :)
Hi there,
I am currently trying to find somewhere to teach in Czech Republic, preferably somewhere around or near Prague. What kind of school are you working for and what kind of learners do you teach? Also, any advice on accommodation would be greatly appreciated i.e cost, areas etc.
Regards,
Richie
Hi Leanne
My girlfriend and I are undertaking out TEFL courses at the moment with a view to going to Prague about Sept 2011. Can you recommend it? How was the application process? Have you come across any other couples working over there? What sort of ages / abilities are you teaching - and in what kind of institution?
Sorry for all the questions. Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Sarah & Joe
Hi Leanne,
I am curious about the visa process for non-EU nationals (I am American). Are you a EU citizen? If not, what steps did you go through? Is it easy? I was thinking about teaching in Czech Republic but the work visa was my concern. I hope the EU visa process is not the same way it is here in Ecuador.
I hope you can help me
Sincerely,
Kallen
Hi Leanne,
Would love to hear more about your experiences with the whole recruitment process. Sounds like you were very successful in securing a teaching position in Prague quickly. I am very curious about teaching there when I start sending out applications (I still have yet to start my TEFL course!).
I love how you are able to teach people directly at their companies! That sounds so rewarding :)
Thanks for your details Leanne! We'll send out the questionnaire today - when we recieve it back with some answers I'll be sure to send on some teaching resources for you to use while you're in Prague!! I hope EVERYTHING is amazing and that you're enjoying yourself.
Thanks again :]
Hi Leanne I'm glad you're enjoying your time in Prague!! Would you be interested in filling out a quick questionnaire about your experiences there?! In return we can offer you free spec certs or downloadable resources as a thank you.
If you're interested, just send me your email address and I'll forward the questionnaire on to you. We'd love to hear about your time over there, and it could possibly be featured in local press releases! :)
