I'm an Ancient History and Archaeology graduate, but my real love is discovering and exploring cultures of any kind and I have a particular fondness for China and Japan (although that might be my stomach talking).
I'm currently working on a 120 hr TEFL course with a view to taking part in the China Internship next february.
There are several reasons that I'm interested in TEFL. What initially drew me to researching it was the idea that I could travel and immerse myself in other cultures (which I love doing) but it not cost the earth, as I could support myself with wages, rather than savings. I have since come to realise that TEFL will allow me to give back to the cultures and communities that I love to visit, and would afford me a much more true to life experience of them, than travelling countries as a tourist ever would.
I really hope that I am accepted on the China Internship, and that while I am there I am as good a teacher as some of mine have been...
