Hey everyone,
I'm just doing some research into the reasons why people choose to do TEFL. It may be that you just wanted to do something rewarding in your life or you were fed up with your normal 9-5 job. If you could help me it would be really appreciated.
So in one short sentence can you sum up why you decided to TEFL?
Thank you
Laura

I love English since I was a student of Elementary School. Somehow, I just like it and feel mastering English is a must. When I was 14 years old, I went to Borobudur temple in Yogyakarta Indonesia and saw some guide tours were telling about the history of the temple to the tourists in English. I thought they were so cool. So, I decided to learn English more. Finally, when I continued my study in the college, I chose English Education as my major. So, I chose TEFL as my passion. I enjoy to speak and teach English to everyone who needs it. Bravo English :D
A desperate need for something different.
I'm still teaching but now :I feel appreciated for what I do.
I always wanted to help people. Currently i am working for a software firm and i have reached that saturation point where every cell in my body is screaming at the top of their lungs(if they have any !!) sayin "DO SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY TINA!!! ". One day, i asked myself , what really makes me happy and the answer was -- " Help People and see the world".
So this is why , i want to do TEFL.
Well, because I usually help my friends and classmates study for their exams. And I love the look on their faces when they suddenly understand something they thought they couldn't. Besides you can't swap the satisfaction you get from helping others in their studies with anything else.
P.S. I haven't exactly worked before, except for an internship.
