Yay!
Signed up to the 140hr course today and all revved up for a good bit of continuing education and career development. One eye on Korea before the end of the year... let's get stuck in :D

Lary,
Can I you ask you an other question please?
When are you doing the weekend course element of your 140 hour combined course? I have decided to do the EDI Level 5 course and I have my weekend TEFL on Saturday and Sunday 30th June and 1st July 2012 in Cork have you done this section yet?
I was asked a strange question they wanted to know what my level of English we speak English our mother tongue in the Republic of Ireland so it is both my native and mother tongue but some of us also speak Gaelic fleunty but we don't do business in Gaeltacht and we don't do A Levels in Ireland but the Leaving Certificate Pass and Honours so I just told her that I had a Degree so naturally my standard of English is above A Level my degree with the Open Universtiy was in German, and two other subjects conducted entirely English so not why she asked me that question in relation to the EDI or Weekend course?
Thanks,
Annette Tefl12
Thanks for letting me know the reason for Larry.
Best regards,
Tefl12
I preferred the extra 20hr weekend course for a few reasons: to meet other local tefl students and swap ideas with them, meet some teachers and ask questions in person and get a little bit of hands-on experience so that I could learn something face-to-face as well as over t'internet. The content for the weekend course looks interesting and useful alongside the web-based material. All in good time!
Why did you decide to do the 140 hour TEFL rather than the 120 one?
Well done Larry!
Decided to begin with the Grammar Awareness course and completed that (20hrs) in a week, so if I keep the same rate up the main 60hr course should take 3 weeks. However, the Euros, Wimbledon and Olympics may well delay that workrate! Got my first assignment marked and first ever TEFL certificate today though, which is nice - hope it's not too long before the collection is added too :)
Good luck!!
