Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHello Matt, I'm teaching at Shenyang University in Liaoning Province. It is the Northeatern part of China in what once was known at Manchuria. I'm loving it. Sounds like you are on your way to Beijing. All the best with your new assignment.
Hey!
I see you're teaching at a university in China? How is it? What part of China are you in??
Enjoy!
Matt
Hi,
Are you looking to work in China?
Do you want to work with Kindergarten children?
Do you want a good Salary?
Do you want weekends off and two ½ days?
If you do, please contact me today. Our kindergarten needs teachers for the new semester starting September. We also have vacancies in our training centers. We are based in GuangZhou, Dongguan, and Foshan all in Guangdong Province, China.
Our school is called CIEO (Canadian International Education Organization)
If you want more details then please get in touch, If you know someone who might be interested then please forward this to them.
If you can’t start September don’t worry, you can still apply as we need teachers throughout the year!
All the best,
Robert
Wherever you go, I recommend you learn the local language before you get there. At the very least the numbers. other useful things-I don't understand, wait a minute/please wait, how much, have/not have,right/left/straight/stop here (for cab drivers).
The TEFL folks say that you don't NEED to learn the local language, which is true as sign language goes a long way, but even basic phrases will save you a lot of trouble and loneliness, especially if you will be the only foreigner wherever you may be.
Anyway, I'm glad that I studied Chinese before doing my China internship.
Hey, i completed my course towards the end of march. I found it easier as i went along. I am now back home in Thailand and looking for work in one of the poorer government schools here. I could go down the usual route of private and international schools, but i just feel its wrong that only those whose parents have money get a chance to learn with native speakers, so i have decided that i want to help those who do not get such a chance. How is your course going? have you completed it yet?
Hello Cherogoth, I expect to finish the 60 hour program tomorrow. I will then have 2 weeks to finish a 20 hour grammar course and also four separate on-line classes (5 hours each). May 1 and 2 I will finish with an onsite class in Oakland, California. Then I'll have finished my my 120 hour TEFL certification. Thank you for all of your helpful postings. I have saved them for reference. Would you be willing to take a look at my resume?
Hi David,
i-to-i's parent company is called TUI, but when you list your TEFL course on your CV you just have to put i-to-i, xxx Hour TEFL Course, then list a little bit about what you've covered on your course if you have space.
Good luck with your job applications!
Hello friendly Chalkboard site editor, What is the parent company of i-to-i? When I have finished the certification process, how do I list it on my resume?
Again, thank you very much. I will follow-up with the links you provided. Regards, David
