You're a dreamer, he said, just like your mother. You embark on a journey from home to find something greater--greater than what, God knows--only to make 4 right turns; 4 decisions which reinforce the same patterns over and over again until you end up where you left off. And when you get back to the point of origin it's as if you rediscover the unique qualities which always draw you home, until you grow bored, then restless and last, full of contempt for your surroundings. It doesn't take long and your gone again, only sooner than the time before. Your life is a path of shrinking concentric circles. It's very predictable, the destiny of a dreamer.

Hi Angela...my mechanic calls me the worlds best motivator...hahaha...I don't think so, but I do believe that we humans believe too much in looking to things on the outside instead of looking within to see what we are really made of. We tend to believe that someone else is responsible for making us happy but the truth is, we are. ...and so in order to be happy, we need to find out just what we can do from within to make some part of our world a little better for someone else.
I believe you will have a wonderful time and an extraordinary adventure in Korea and once there, it will motivate you into doing so much more. Love what you do, because when you are happy and love what you do, people gravitate towards happy people. You go girl!
Hi Angela, you will have the best time in Korea, I truly believe it and just for extra's I'l send you the luck of the Irish in this post!!! Good wishes and I look forward to following your blog.
Cheekyface and teoc: Love your posts. This is the kind of attitude we traveling teachers must adopt. I'm personally adopting the Irish saying. I'm going to Korea and I am going to have the time of my life!
Believe in yourself and everything elso will fall into place, there is any old Irish saying that reads "What's for you will not pass you by". Life is for living and try to be positive especially when people around you are being negative.
Typo...imagine
If we never had dreamers, we would never have progress Angela. Dreamers are often ones who actually put into motion, their ideas....but sometimes they just need a little kick-start. Imaging where the world would be if that dreamer had just sat and THOUGHT about the wheel. Yes someone else would possibly have thought about it later....but the point is, the dreamer tried.
I dreamed many years ago about travelling, but I had kids and an income to match. I never lost my dream, and it wasn't until 2001 that I actually acted to do something on my own and went to live in Australia. I had nowhere to live, no income, no idea how I was going to support myself. It was a very dangerous thing to do, but I managed and then in 2009 I met the man who is my dream.
If you don't dream, you have nothing.
I am a dreamer. I am proud to be a dreamer. I want to experience life, not watch it pass me by. I will always come home, but I will always grow restless and long for adventure. Be a dreamer. Live life to the fullest.
Wow, what negativity....'he said' needs to understand that unless you release the bird from the cage, it will never fly and reach it's full potential. Life should not be about bringing someone else down, it should be about helping to lift them up, helping them to achieve what they have no idea they can do....I put a comment on my FB.... "Life is about challenging yourself to see what you can do...give it a go". One of my comments I tell people who think I am unable to do something is, "Don't tell me I can't do it if you are not prepared to give me the opportunity to try", and I live by it.
Just ask your heart what it wants you to do.
