Checkpoint 3 - Teaching Skills

Hi everyone - quick question...

When writing a letter of complaint, I've followed the 10 stages of a writing lesson - does there need to be a warmer/lead-in before the stages begin or do you just write it based on the 10 stages ?

I've also chosen an article about Teddy Boys for the 200 word reading part - is this alright or does it need to be something more informative ? I think there are gist and detailed questions which can be asked about the article, and it should be more interesting than reading about the history of trains !! lol Also can this part be in bullet points like the first or does it need to be paragraphed ?
