A typical Day

Now that the school year is almost out, and I gave such a basic sum-up of all my time here, I thought it would be nice to share a typical day here in Loja, with a few commentaries to give my insights into life here. I live in an apartment in downtown Loja, which I pay too much money for, but I love the location and my neighbours. My son has made friends with the...

nine and a half months later!

Wow! I have not been much of a dedicated blogger on this site! But, I thought I´d follow up and give an update as to how the last nine and a half months have gone! I took the documents to a notary public to have the copies notarized, took them down the street to an Ontario government office to have...

Preparing for Ecuador and trying to figure out visa issues!

Well, this is my first blog entry and I'm still in Canada, trying to figure out the easiest way to stay in Ecuador without being booted out after three months! There is so much info on this via the internet, but unfortunately, I cannot find a website for the Ecuadorian embassy in Canada and the Consulate in Toronto was far less helpful than I had expected! Okay. Here's the situation. I was in Oaxaca, Mexico...
