About Me
I'm just finished my University degree at the University of Gloucestershire where I studied Human Geography. I didn't get the results I wanted so instead of getting down I chose to become a TEFL teacher just on an impulse. I have to say it is one of the best things I've decided to do!!

Hey, I'm hoping to get some advice from people who are overseas especially in Korea right now. My parents particularly my Dad is saying that if I go to Korea I will get killed because the North will attack - I know that is a risk but very unlikely to happen. He refuses to listen to anything I say about why I want to go abroad and I just don't know what to say to...

I have a phone interview tomorrow but it's just with a recruiter. What kind of things will they ask? Because I want to be prepared and don't want them to think I'm not interested in teaching in Korea :(

Hi Katie! Yeah its really good over here and you are paid well! You will be able to save plenty of money and still be able to go travelling, shop and go out at weekends! I was the same as you! the horror stories i read about were terrible and i was fairly worried but there isnt much chance of being placed somewhere bad if you apply through i-to-i. The guy you deal with for korea is John and he will make sure you are ok and put somewhere decent! I done everything through i-to-i so and im really glad i did! Ive only been here a few weeks and ive met loads of english teachers who are really friendly and ive not heard one person complain about where they work!
