I've just recieved my official invitation letter to China :) next stop the chinese embassy in london and then hopefully if all goes well in just 1 month ill be leaving the UK for 12-18months, my first stop is Beijing on the 23rd of August for orientation & to begin my China Internship with ItoI and TTC, still dont know where im going to be placed so im trying not to get my hopes up...

Woop i passed my TEFL weekend! Not only did i learn how to order beer in Japanese, but the weekend has been so useful and our teacher Karen was brilliant, really really helpful! Plus i got to meet another august intern which was great! Hi again. Thanks, i have emailed Elaine. Also have you finished your on-line course? I have and its expired. I logged in today to have a look at it and i can no longer see any of my work???!?!?!?!? Is it just me or wouldnt it be useful when in China to be able to refer back to it? Especially for the tutor comments and all the lesson plans which I put together!!! I have asked Elaine about this too. I dont understand why they would block you from seeing your own work?

Hi Kate, I passed my weekend TEFL course. It was great :) I also met another girl who is going to China in August. It was great hands on experience. I also got my acceptance email last week, which was a huge relief :) Now I've just got to finish my TEFL course. I've been slacking on Checkpoint 3 - it's a tough one.

Hi Kate, I'm from London and I've applied to do the China Internship in August. I'm waiting to hear if i've been accepted. I would love to meet up to talk about it all with you if you are available... I work in Central London, neat London Bridge/Waterloo and live in North West London. Whereabouts are you?

I've also got my weekend course tomorrow. I was nervous until I read your post about your weekend course :)

Hi Kate, I've still heard nothing and to be honest I've now reached the point where I don't think I want to work with people who can't decide whether they want to work with me or not. And that's certainly having an effect on my motivation to do the online stuff too. I've stalled at Module 3 - I stopped halfway through, then picked it up again but stopped on Quiz 2 because they way the the different tenses are being put across, just isn't working with my learning style. So I've put it down and will look at it again later this week but before I go to work instead of after an exhausting day - see if that makes any difference!

Hope that you're getting on with it all better than I am. If you're stuck at a similar place to me on the course, let me know and maybe we can talk each other through it! Chat soon.

Hi Kate, Still no word about whether I've been accepted yet. Because I'm a bit older than most applicants, I've got more life experiences so there's a few things they want to investigate in more detail before they make a decision. But hopefully, they've now had all the information they need and I should hear soon. Have decided that if I don't get onto the China Internship, I'm just going to apply for a job in Bali and take the risk of sorting it all out myself. Will let you know as soon as I find out.

I see you've moved back home, hope that commute isn't exhausting you. Its bad enough having to do it once a month, don't think I could cope every day!
