Yeah flying out of Manchester - il be there on the monday at about 12. It should be alright now. Thats cool your at Patai aswell! Well i guess il c you in Bangkok! x
Hey, yeah I'm still going at the moment, unless I'm told different by i-to-i in the next couple of days! Haven't really picked the best time but guess we'll see what happens. I'm at the Patai Udom Suska school where we are having the introduction day. How you feeling about everything? Which school are you based at? x
Yeah, but I just read that a curfew has been issued in Bangkok and many other areas, meaning you can't go anywhere after 8:00 p.m. Also, flights are being affected into Bangkok. Since I was supposed to be mid-air right now, my flight would definitely have been affected. I am very sad about not being able to start teaching soon, but also relieved to not have to deal with this mess.
im still going, they wouldnt let us go if it wasnt safe, we just have to rely on them, and if its too bad we will just have to see what happens, you still going???
Hi, Jennifer. I postponed my trip. I was supposed to leave today and felt that i-to-i was probably going to cancel it at any moment (they postponed it previously when the situation was much less intense than it currently is), and I didn't want to arrive in Thailand and find that things had been further delayed. Plus, there were no tickets available for me to postpone my flight further; I'd have to buy a whole new ticket which was impossible. I've been a nervous wreck, reading the news constantly, and receiving emails in my inbox from the embassy saying DON'T GO. So I postponed my start date to October. I hope it does work out for you girls. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy the summer in Portland and learn more lesson planning tips and Thai language! Keep in touch.
Got a phonecall to say we have been postponed, gutted and skint fingers crossed everything will be hunkydory for the 23rd, Eva air were really good and i got to change my flights no bother and no charge so at least theres some good news, flying from heathrow 21.35 on the 23rd arriving in bangkok 15.05 24th x speak soon hon x
