Yidu Foreign Language School, ratified by the People's Government of Yidu City, features public-operation and private support. It's located in former Yidu Normal School.

The School lies in Lucheng Town, (the location of the Poeple's Government of Yidu City, Hubei Province) , famous as the Gate of Three Gorges ,  at the cross between the Changjiang River and the Qingjiang  River . It's a well-known historic town with profound culture, 50 km away from the famous national Power City, Yichang City, 45km from the airport of Three Gorges and 15km from Zhicheng Railway Station; and Jiaozhi Railway crosses its north. Its transportation is very convenient. In addition, the rapid development of the city is able to creat an advantageous environment for the school.

Yidu Foreign Language School grew out of Yidu Normal School, with a history of nearly 50 years, forstering more than ten thousand teachers for primary and junior schools and a large number of talent persons for society. It's awarded "Advanced Unit of Language " by National Education Committee,  "Garden School "of Hubei Province and honoured  " Talent Cradle "by employers. It has a place in the education history of Yichang City and even Hubei province.

The school covers 122 mu, with a building area up to 40,000 m2. There are more than one hundred teachers and staff members, including middle and high-ranking teachers up to 60% , over 2750 students at school. Now it has teaching buildings with modern equipment, a fully-equipped science lab, a super art building in Hubei, an auditorium and dining hall with a capacity of 1,300 people, standard students' apartment buildings, a library and a standard 400m-track and field playground .The school is covered with green trees and fragrant flowers everywhere all the year round. Natural sights integrates humane ones, which creates a quiet and refined cultural environment.
