I've started the 140hr course struggling with the grammar stuff. How are you getting on with it all?

Hi! In the job I have in Malaysia, one of main aims is coming up with activities and resources so the local teachers can benefit from them. The Ministry of Education wants to change learning in classrooms in Malaysia from being teacher-focused to student-focused (student-centred learning is the fundamental point of TEFL courses - once you get your head around this the TEFL course will seem a lot clearer). Hence, we have develop a lof of stuff for the teachers.
When I was teaching in Cambodia, it was mainly book teaching (although I hated having to do that and adapted as many lessons as possible whenever possible). So if you're trying to get work there you dont need to stress about developing your own materials as much.
My girlfriend is from Siem Reap. It's completely flooded at the moment!!!
I'm in malaysia now. Been here since the start of the year. Am mentoring local teachers in rural primary schools as part of a government project. Am teaching English for about 2 years now after teaching secondary school science in England for a year, then was in South Africa on a volunteer project before going to Siem Reap to volunteer. Completed the i-to-i certificate in Feb 2010, but am going to do a CELTA in Chiang Mai in November. Will be going back to Siem Reap then for a week or 2 after I complete the CELTA as it's my long holidays and my girlfriend is from there. anyway, let me know if you get stuck in your course....
